The German anti-aircraft gun Flak 36/37 was developed from the 3.7cm Flak 18 and was produced in very large numbers throughout WWII. The Flak 37 was an improved Flak 36 with a new, clockwork powered sight, and was the standard defense against low-flying aircraft throughout the conflict.
