7 May 2009 : Today I proudly present Model Maniac Page 47 - Part D. In this Part, "Toom" who is Art Instructor's big brother presents a variety of models covering Air, Sea and Land. Starting from AH-64 Longbow Apache 1:72 from Airfix and 3 Russian Submarines M-12, D-6 and L-2 in 1:400 scale from Maquette, followed by SSBN Typhoon Class Submarine 1:400 from Revell and L.C.V.P. (French) 1:35 from Fonderie Miniature, then topped it off with the Destoyer USS Cushing DDG-985 1:350 from Dragon and the German Steyr type 1500A/01 from Tamiya which I got second-handed complete with PE Grille Set from Tamiya and Radio and Command Upgrade Set from VP.
And same as the last three dozen Parts, all pictures in this Part were taken using "time exposure" technique so as to achieve highest depth of field, i.e., using a tripod, setting shutter priority and selecting shutter speed that gives the highest f-stop (f19-f22) and setting self-timer for shutter release. Lighting is natural, pictures were taken outdoor under the shades during daytime. Pictures were scanned directly from film by the photo shop, written on to a CD and resized by me. As always, I hope you'll enjoy viewing!

115 : An Overview of Page 47- Part D (Index Print)
116 - 119 : Airfix's AH-64 Longbow Apache 1:72
120 - 123 : Maquette's Russian Submarine M-12, D-6 and L-2 respectively, all 1:400. All kits are very fundamental - few plastic parts, no PE at all. It was "Toom" the builder who added more details to them, like railings made from the finest iron wire.
124 - 127 : Revell's SSBN Typhoon Class 1:400
128 - 132 : Fonderie Miniature's L.C.V.P. 1:35. "Toom" said that this kit comes plain with no rivets at all while real ones have rivets. So, he punched hundreds of rivets using leatherwork tool and attached them to hull. Thumbs Up for his effort!
133 - 143 : Dragon's USS Cushing DDG-985 1:350 w/ in-box PE rails
144 - 152 : Tamiya's German Steyr type 1500A/01 + Tamiya's PE Grille Set + VP's Steyr Radio and Command Upgrade Set.
