It's not easy at all to get another Model Page up, but I've been doing
this real fast. Model Maniac Page 5 was up early June 1999, and Page 6 at the end
of. Now it's 23 July, and Page 7 is up. For this Page, it took three 'rolls'
of digital film (30 pics each roll) plus one roll of conventional film (36 pics).
I selected 66 out of those 120+, scanning some, making thumbnail pics for all,
then edit the HTML file, adding link to each and every pic, uploading them all
to Server, etc. Think of the time it took!, but it's labor of love!.
BTW, in this Page I started using a magnifying glass with my digital camera
(and a close-up lens +4 with my SLR camera) so as to get a focal point
in close-up shots. Many pics were taken under bright sunlight by both cameras,
and for indoor shooting, I use one 30W fluorescent lamp from top and one 100W
halogen floodlight from front or side. I'm thinking of using 200W but then
100W is already too hot (or generating too much heat).
01 - 1:1 Scale Combat Equipment Collection. Academy's Colt M655 Carbine Air Gun
Kit, acquired 2 years ago for 1,950 Baht (US$ 53) and Chinese made AR-16 Carbine
purchased this month for 1,200 Baht (US$ 32)(It's better than the Korean made
because it's one-piece, needs no assembly, more rugged, and shoots BB pellets harder,
and it's heavy just like the real thing)

for the first time!
30 - 34 - Diorama - Dragon's Sturmpioniere w/ Assault Raft (3)
This is a unique set - only one in the world. Though the raft and figures are Dragon's,
the figures' heads are not. According to the modeller of this set, Dragon's figures' heads
are not good enough, so he used VP's heads instead! (and some hands too where appropriate).
The water and waves (made of clear resin) is also unique. It doesn't come easy and it doesn't
come out this good every time.

มีแต่ภาษาอังกฤษล้วนๆ ทั้งนี้ก็เพราะผมรีบร้อนจะนำเสนอ กะว่าจะเพิ่มภาคภาษาไทยทีหลัง แต่จนแล้วจนรอด

ผมว่าร้านอื่นๆ น่าจะย้ายมาอยู่ใกล้ๆ กันแถวๆ สามย่านนี้ (โดยเฉพาะ

จะได้ง่ายแก่นักเล่นโม ไม่ต้องตระเวนไปทั่วบ้านทั่วเมืองถึงจะเจอร้านนึง
เมื่อก่อนผมตระเวนซิ่งมอเตอร์ไซค์วิบากไปหาซื้อทั่ว แต่ระยะหลังไม่ค่อย
ได้ไปที่ไหนยกเว้นสองร้านแรก กล่าวคือผมจะซื้อโมเดลที่ร้าน New Game
(เพราะราคาถูกกว่าที่อื่น คือลด 20% โดยไม่ต้องเป็นสมาชิก)
และสั่งทำที่ร้าน Studio ซึ่งถ้าเป็นเครื่องบิน เฮียสามารถ หรือ อ.ถัง เจ้าของร้าน
Studio 9 จะให้ คุณแหลม เป็นคนทำ แต่ถ้าเป็นเรือรบ หรือ รถรบ เฮียแก
จะทำเอง และตอนนี้ (เริ่ม ก.ค.42) ถ้าเป็นพวก figures 1:35, 1:16 แกจะให้
"Art Instructor" หรือ คุณเกี๊ยบ เป็นคนทำ แต่ละคนที่ว่ามานี้ฝีมือฉกาจฉกรรจ์
ขนาดไหน ก็เชิญชมได้ตามอัธยาศัย แต่ค่าฝีมือของบรรดาสุดยอดฝีมือเหล่านี้ก็
ฉกาจฉกรรจ์เอาเรื่องเหมือนกัน ในช่วงสามเดือนมานี้ผมจนลงไปเยอะเลย
เพราะค่าโมก็แพง ค่าทำยิ่งแพงหนักขึ้นไปอีก ลำพังเงินเดือนแต่ละเดือน หักภาษี
และเงินสะสมแล้ว เหลือไม่พอจ่ายค่าสองอย่างนี้ด้วยซ้ำ แล้วอยู่ได้ไงเนี่ย?
ถ้าเป็นโค้วตงหมง แกคงบอกว่า "หยั่งงี้จนตายห่ะ" เอาเหอะ ถึงผมจะจนเงิน
